  • “They’ll think I’m poor.” 
  • “I’ll look different.” 

Teach That Financial Limits Are Not Personal Failures 

Explain openly that budgets are responsible decisions, not embarrassing realities. 

When children see you make thoughtful financial choices without apology, they learn that restraint carries dignity. 

Build Social Courage At Home 

Practise responses calmly: 

  • “I can’t afford that right now.” 
  • “That doesn’t work for me.” 

Confidence increases when language feels familiar. 

Reinforce Faith-Based Perspective 

Islam teaches contentment and discourages comparison. Gratitude protects against envy-driven pressure.
