Why Do Some Muslim Children Feel Embarrassed Asking About Puberty?

Many parents assume silence means understanding. Often, silence means uncertainty.

  • Body image
  • Religious responsibility
  • Privacy
  • Gender boundaries

If these topics are avoided at home, children may search online without guidance.

Build Safety Through Tone

Your facial expression matters. Your calmness matters.

Treat questions as maturity, not misbehaviour.

Frame Islamic Guidelines With Wisdom

Explain not only what is required, but why.

For example:

  • Ghusl is about spiritual cleanliness.
  • Modesty protects dignity.
  • Accountability reflects growth, not burden.

When rules are explained with purpose, they feel respectful rather than restrictive.

Are we offering clarity before confusion takes root?
