Why Do Suhoor and Iftar Times Change Daily in Ramadan?

Ramadan fasting follows the sun, not the clock.

Suhoor ends at dawn, and Iftar begins at sunset. Because dawn and sunset change slightly each day as the Earth moves, fasting times also shift daily.

This gradual change ensures fasting remains connected to the natural world. It prevents the fast from becoming mechanical and keeps each day distinct.

Wise Compass often reflects on how these small daily changes encourage presence and attentiveness.

That same reflective approach continues through Juniors’ Adventures and Young Explorers, where patterns are explored with meaning.

Fasting moves with time, not around it.

How do you adapt when fasting times shift noticeably?
