What Is the Sunnah Way to Eat Suhoor?

The Sunnah approach to Suhoor is defined by ease.

The Prophet  encouraged eating Suhoor, even if it was only a small amount, and preferred delaying it until closer to Fajr. There was no encouragement of heaviness or excess.

Suhoor was meant to support the fast, not overwhelm the body. Its value lay in intention, moderation, and blessing.

This understanding helps Suhoor feel calm rather than rushed or overthought.

Wise Compass often reflects on how returning to Sunnah practices can soften modern routines.

That same thoughtful approach continues through Juniors’ Adventures and Young Explorers, where everyday habits are explored reflectively.

Sunnah brings balance to preparation.

How does your current Suhoor routine compare to this approach?
