Can Kaffarah Be Paid as Money in Islam?

Kaffarah is designed as an act of serious expiation.

The first obligation is fasting sixty consecutive days. When that is not possible, feeding sixty people in need becomes the requirement.

While money itself is not the original form of Kaffarah, many scholars allow money to be given if it is used specifically to provide food on the person’s behalf.

The outcome matters. Someone must be fed for Kaffarah to be fulfilled.

Platforms like Wise Compass explain these principles clearly, helping people act with confidence and care.

Its children’s sections, Juniors’ Adventures and Young Explorers, also introduce accountability through thoughtful storytelling.

Kaffarah shows that repentance involves action.
